Change of DismissalIf your child’s transportation plans change for any reason, we will need a written note. If for any reason their normal dismissal plans change after their arrival to school, please call or text my personal cell phone (given to you in class welcome packet) to ensure I receive the message as quickly as possible!
SnacksWe are a school of Wellness, so we encourage you to send your child to school with a healthy snack. Please no chips or sugary items. This will be helpful for your child’s education as well; proper nutrition = a focused and calm child, who is ready to learn!
Water BottlesI encourage students to drink water throughout the day. There are so many benefits from drinking water. It increases concentration and memory, improves hydration, regulates body temperature, keeps skin and teeth healthy, improves joint and muscle function, and so much more! Please help encourage our students to drink more water by sending your child to school with a reusable water bottle each day.

ClothingThere is not a formal dress code for students. However, I do recommend that if you send your child to school in a dress or skirt, please have them wear shorts underneath. They will also need to wear sneakers or tennis shoes to participate in free play and P.E. specials. I also strongly discourage allowing your child to wear flip-flops or Crocs to school, as they are a safety hazard.
Birthday CelebrationsWe love birthdays, but as a School of Wellness, we have only two celebration days, one on the last day of each semester. If you choose to send items for the class on your child’s birthday, please do not send any food or distracting items. This way we can keep your child focused on learning and meet the needs our wellness goals.
Classroom EconomyOur class will implement a classroom economy system during this school year. It’s an excellent tool for teaching financial responsibility, delayed gratification, behavioral consequences, independence, maturity, and many other things. More information is available here.
